GIANTS and Straight4 Studios team up for technology

Schlieren ZH/London – GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios are expanding their partnership. In addition to the already agreed marketing of the British racing simulator from 2025, the two companies are now also working together on technical development.

The Schlieren-based games developer GIANTS Software is also making the game software successfully used in the Farming Simulator available for the racing simulation Project Motor Racing planned by Straight4 Studios. In July, GIANTS Software announced the distribution agreement for Project Motor Racing. The British computer game developer Straight4 Studios in London has now also agreed a long-term technical partnership with GIANTS Software, according to a press release.

The game engine - the computer program for controlling and displaying the game - from Farming Simulator will also be used in Project Motor Racing and will power the racing simulation when it is released next year in 2025. GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios have been working together on the integration of the GIANTS Engine into Project Motor Racing since 2023. According to the announcement, both studios are deep in the development phase to optimize the engine for the racing simulator. The main focus is on good visual representation.

"When we moved to self-publishing in 2021 and self-published our farming simulator, we made no secret of the fact that we were looking for external titles that fit our vision. With Straight4 Studios, we found the ideal candidate: a studio that, like us, creates first-class simulations," said Boris Stefan, CSO and Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software.

"Competing in the specialized and technically demanding sim racing genre with Project Motor Racing is a testament to the versatility of the GIANTS engine," said Kevin Boland, CDO (Chief Data Officer) at Straight4. ce/gba
