Verity wins prize for automation of food warehouse logistics

Zurich – Verity has received the Top Software & Tech Award in the Warehouse Automation category. Two trade magazines have thus recognized the transformative role played by Verity’s fully autonomous inspection drones in optimizing warehouse logistics for food and beverages.

Verity has won the Top Software & Tech Award from the two North American trade magazines "Food Logistics" and "Supply & Demand Chain Executive". The award puts the spotlight on new software and technology solutions that offer automation, efficiency and transparency in the supply chain.

Verity was recognized in the Warehouse Automation category for the transformative role its fully autonomous system of inspection drones plays in optimizing warehouse operations for food and beverage retailers, according to a statement. "Receiving the Warehouse Automation Award underscores Verity's impact on the food and beverage sector and its commitment to innovation in food and beverage retailing," the company said.

Precision, speed and sustainability are crucial in this sector. This is because stock accuracy has a direct impact on product freshness, punctual delivery and customer satisfaction. The inspection drones are reportedly designed for fast stock turnover, temperature-controlled environments and strict compliance requirements.

They scan and validate the stock in warehouse aisles independently without the need to fundamentally reorganize operations. The Verity system also creates a digital twin of the facility. "This real-time transparency has been proven to reduce the loss of goods by up to 40 percent," says Verity. Co-founder and CEO Raffaello D'Andrea points to a reliability rate of over 99.99 percent. ce/mm
