Importance of AI for Swiss SMEs is constantly growing:
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing everyday working life in all sectors. For SMEs in particular, AI opens up new areas of business and has the potential to transform processes with significant increases in efficiency and productivity, for example through the use of copilots.

The potential offered by the use of AI is cross-organizational:
Over 50% of Swiss SMEs use AI in their processes, but so far only 9% use it systematically. 42% of companies expect noticeable efficiency and productivity gains within the next two years. The use of AI can speed up administrative tasks, automate data analyses and support lead generation in sales. The areas of application cover the entire value chain and different roles in SMEs.

Knowledge and skills development are becoming key factors:
In order to remain competitive, it will be crucial for SMEs to develop a fundamental understanding of AI, build up knowledge in a targeted manner and continuously expand its practical application. The systematic development of knowledge and skills in the use of AI creates the basis for confident strategic decisions and efficient operational measures in the age of the new basic technology.
