Realcycle launches the QualiCycle platform

(CONNECT) realcycle GmbH from Zurich has launched "QualiCycle - Platform for high-quality plastics recycling in Switzerland". According to a statement from the circular economy consultancy, the aim is to provide a forum for targeted exchange, mutual learning and the development of viable solutions - with a particular focus on applications in the food sector. The platform is designed to be cross-polymer and pool knowledge from specific areas.

One aim is to drive forward the circular economy more efficiently. This includes expanding the cycleworks project and deepening its content. Cycleworks is based on the dialog between players involved with polystyrene and is now to open up the exchange to other polymers and be expanded thematically. In terms of content, concrete principles and assistance on topics such as regulations, quality assurance, collection and sorting will be developed together.

The platform is aimed at companies, institutions and organizations along the entire plastics value chain. According to the press release, the combined knowledge should provide a basis for the circular plastics economy in Switzerland and make it more effective. ce/ww
