AMAG acquires majority stake in autoSense

(CONNECT) The AMAG Group is the new majority shareholder of autoSense AG. The Group, which is primarily active in the automotive trade, has acquired Swisscom 's stake in the Zurich-based company for charging solutions for electric vehicles, AMAG announced in a press release. "With the integration of autoSense, we are significantly optimizing our digital services for corporate and private customers," Martin Everts, Managing Director AMAG Energy & Mobility, is quoted as saying.

AMAG will merge autoSense with the AMAG subsidiary Helion chargeON and integrate it into the AMAG Energy & Mobility division as the autoSense brand. AutoSense founder Jaap Vossen will also manage the company under the umbrella of the AMAG Group as Managing Director. "With this merger, we are consolidating our role as a leading provider in the field of e-mobility solutions," Vossen is quoted as saying in autoSense's own press release on the merger with Helion chargeOn.

The aim of the merger between autoSense and Helion chargeON is to combine the expertise of the two companies and expand the range of charging solutions for the electric vehicles of AMAG's fleet customers.
