c.technology equips Schwalbe e-scooters with mobile app

Zurich/Munich – GOVECS is now drawing on the expertise of c.technology. With the APIs and cloud-based mobility services from c.technology, the Munich-based manufacturer of the retro-designed electric Schwalbe scooters wants to open up a wide range of innovative functions for its customers.

GOVECS and c.technology have agreed to work together. In a press release from c.technology, a Zurich-based specialist for cloud and software-as-a-service solutions, GOVECS is described as Europe's leading manufacturer of e-scooters. GOVECS has been producing the Schwalbe again since 2017, and has also been using lightweight exchangeable batteries since 2023. Production of the Simson Schwalbe was discontinued in 1986.

Julian Brönnimann, Head of Products at c.technology, emphasizes the transformative potential of this partnership: "Our powerful APIs and cloud-based services will enable GOVECS customers to unlock new levels of connectivity and access a wide range of innovative features directly from their mobile devices."

As part of this collaboration, GOVECS will reportedly launch a mobile app for eSchwalbe riders that offers "24/7 connectivity, real-time data access, remote diagnostics and personalized riding experiences". This app will be seamlessly integrated into the eSchwalbe ecosystem. Dealers and service partners will also benefit from the connected network: "By combining GOVECS' know-how in the manufacture of e-scooters with c.technology's cloud and software expertise, new standards are being set for innovation in the electric scooter industry." ce/mm
