Care Raises Almost 700,000 Francs in Crowdfunding

Winterthur – Care Preventive AG has raised almost 700,000 Swiss francs through crowd funding. The healthcare start-up, which specializes in prevention, intends to use the funds for further growth. The long-term aim is an exit.

(CONNECT) Care Preventive AG has acquired funds totaling CHF 689,275 via crowdfunding. This amount corresponds to 689 percent of the funding threshold of CHF 100,000, but is a good CHF 300,000 below the funding target of CHF 1 million, Care reports. The healthcare company, founded in 2022, intends to use the funds for its further scaling.

Care specializes in the prevention of chronic diseases. The Winterthur-based company already has more than 3,000 customers and generated sales of CHF 1.7 million last year. This year, Care is aiming for a turnover of CHF 5 million.

To this end, Care plans to expand its presence in Switzerland from five to ten locations this year. Care is also aiming to expand into international markets. In the long term, Care should become so successful "that a sale to a strategic partner such as Labore or an IPO becomes possible".

Care explains that the company made a conscious decision in favor of crowdfunding for the acquisition of new funds that has now been completed: "With crowdinvesting, we are opening Care up to a committed community and also enabling smaller investors to participate and benefit from our success. At the same time, the company is also focusing on generating personal recommendations and network effects through crowdfunding. Investors with an investment of CHF 9,800 or more were also appointed brand ambassadors. A Series A financing round is planned for this year or next. ce/hs
