Designwerk offers all-electric lowliner for testing

Winterthur – Designwerk Technologies AG is offering interested parties in Germany the opportunity to test its all-electric Lowliner. Fleet operators can test the tractor unit for two to four weeks in day-to-day operations. Demand is high.

Designwerk Technologies AG is making its all-electric MID CAB Semi Lowliner 4x2T available for test purposes in Germany. The lowliner can be rented for two to four weeks from German rental partner GTT Greiwing Truck & Trailer, Designwerk announced in a press release.

"The test tour is aimed at fleet operators whose fleet consists of low-liner tractor units and who want to gain experience with e-mobility in this particular area of application," Fabian Bahlmann, Sales Manager E-Trucks Europe North at Designwerk, is quoted as saying. At the start of each test phase, the companies receive mini e-mobility training on operation and deployment routes. At the end of the test phase, there is a personal final meeting with an individual evaluation. The demand for test slots is high, writes the Winterthur-based specialist for electromobility.

Rental partner GTT Greiwing Truck & Trailer has purchased "a double-digit number" of Designwerk's all-electric trucks on the basis of positive funding decisions.

One of these electric lowliners can also be test-driven with a Fleetloop Mega Trailer at the International Motor Show in Hanover from September 17 to 22. Details of both offers are available on request from trucks@designwerk.com. ce/hs
