DINAMIQS inaugurates new laboratory at the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich

Schlieren ZH/Zofingen AG – DINAMIQS has moved into its new research and development laboratory in the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich. It offers pilot plants for the development, analysis and production of viral vectors.

DINAMIQS, part of the Siegfried Group in Zofingen since 2023, has a new research and development laboratory in the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich. According to a Siegfried press release, the new and "state-of-the-art" laboratory facilities there offer "leading technologies" in the field of viral vector process development and production. The parent company describes this as "another milestone" on the way to further strengthening its biologics offering, "particularly in the fast-growing cell and gene therapy market".

According to the information provided, the new laboratory's pilot plants enable the development, analysis and production of viral vectors. It is an integral part of DINAMIQS' 2500 square meter cGMP production facility. It is currently under construction and will go into operation at the end of 2025. This facility will reportedly provide a production capacity of up to 1000 liters for the production of viral vectors for research, development, clinical trials and commercial purposes.

According to Siegfried CEO Marcel Imwinkelried, the new laboratory marks "an important step on the way to developing DINAMIQS into the leading CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) in the field of cell and gene therapies". DINAMIQS CEO Martin Kessler emphasizes "how important leading process development and analysis is for the success of viral vector projects. That is why we have significantly expanded our laboratories in Switzerland. Our customers now receive everything from a single source, from gene optimization to GMP scale-up." ce/mm
