Enantios delivers first ROA device to customer

Zurich – Enantios has delivered its first Raman Optical Activity (ROA) device to a customer. The measuring device can accelerate the development of drugs. It was delivered to a laboratory at Bar-Ilan University in Israel and installed on site.

(CONNECT) Zurich-based Enantios AG has delivered its first ROA device to a customer, according to a press release. The device was installed in the laboratory of Professor Assaf Ben-Moshe at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. It could then be put into operation immediately. According to Enantios, this is a major milestone for the company.

The ROA device was developed by the Enantios engineering team led by CTO and co-founder Roman Wyss at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and measures the differences in Raman signals of molecules. This measurement technology can speed up the development and production of drugs. It should also allow for more precise quality control in production. According to researchers, it therefore has great potential for measuring pharmaceuticals.

Enantios is a spin-off of ETH, which was founded in 2022 and develops instruments for pharmaceutical production. Consisting of a small team, Enantios supports researchers and scientists in science and industry. ce/nta
