Evulpo Secures 8.8 Million Francs

Zurich – Evulpo, a Zurich-based start-up active in the field of digital learning, has secured 8.8 million Swiss francs in a Series A financing round. 70 percent of the funds, most of which come from existing investors, are reinvested in product innovation.

(CONNECT) Evulpo has raised fresh funds. The majority of the CHF 8.8 million comes from existing investors in the Zurich-based digital learning start-up, including Zurich-based Serpentine Ventures, several Swiss family offices and entrepreneurs such as footballer Yann Sommer, Dario Fazlic, Bruno Pfister, Dr. Felix Grisard and Aribeda. The new investments reinforce confidence in the founding team and the company's proprietary technology, the start-up announced in a press release.

Around 70 percent of new capital is reinvested in product innovation. In future, all learning opportunities should be fully adaptive and adapt intelligently to the user's level. Social gamification events will also be available in the future, such as inter-class challenges or dashboards that provide teachers with useful insights to close learning gaps. "We invest where the race is ultimately decided - and build a higher-quality product that is continuously optimized," Jonas Fehlmann, CFO and co-founder of Evulpo, is quoted as saying in the press release.

Evulpo, which works closely with Swiss universities, develops curriculum-based digital learning content that combines interactive videos, summaries and exercises. Using artificial intelligence (AI), the platform focuses on personalized learning and gamification. Teachers benefit from planning tools, analysis, and AI-supported corrections that reduce workload and allow teachers to focus on individual support. "Think of us as a digital learning book - but ten times more effective," says Danni Li, Chief Product Officer at Evulpo.

Evulpo, founded in Zurich in 2022, has already raised 2.3 million Swiss francs in an angel round and 7.7 million Swiss francs in a seed round. The platform is currently used by around 100 schools in average 30-minute learning sessions. ce/yes
