Zurich/Lanham – Drone manufacturer Fotokite has agreed a strategic partnership with Safeware. Safeware equips fire departments, law enforcement and health and safety teams in the USA with safety solutions.
Fotokite and Safeware are entering into a strategic partnership in the United States. The Zurich-based manufacturer of aerial reconnaissance drones is working with the security solutions provider to integrate Fotokite's aerial situational awareness technology into Safeware's distribution network, according to a press release. Fotokite has offices in Boulder, Colorado, and Syracuse, New York.
The cooperation is intended to offer fire departments, law enforcement agencies and occupational safety teams more support.
Fotokite's actively connected technology is designed to improve situational awareness for public safety teams, according to the statement. The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or drones, which are connected via a tether with a data link, provide immediate aerial imagery to significantly improve response times and operational safety.
"This partnership will allow us to better serve our customers and increase our impact on the safety and effectiveness of emergency response teams across the U.S.," said Cody Lockwood, Sales Director of Fotokite. "Our collaboration with Fotokite is a significant step forward in our mission to equip first responders with the best tools available.
Fotokite's technology perfectly complements our existing product offering, and together we will be able to deliver unprecedented value to our customers," said Connie Stallings, Head of Sales at Safeware, headquartered in Lanham, Maryland. ce/gba
