Zollikon ZH/Zurich – Fröhlich Info AG from Zollikon has won the Phönix Award 2024 for companies with up to 50 employees. The Swiss umbrella organization for business succession awards the prize to family businesses that have been successfully managing their succession for at least 100 years.
The Swiss umbrella organization for company succession(CHDU) has presented Fröhlich Info AG with this year's Phoenix Award for companies with up to 50 employees. The award recognizes family businesses "that have mastered their succession planning for at least a century", writes the CHDU in a press release on the award ceremony. The award-winning media and communications company with its own print shop in Zollikon is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Anniversary.
Fröhlich Info AG is currently managed by the fourth generation of the family on the Executive Board and the third generation on the Board of Directors. The jury was won over by the family business with its consistent and forward-looking succession plan and several family members working in the company, according to the press release. Further evidence of the award's worthiness includes the "early development of the business model", a "commitment to sustainability" and "pronounced innovation potential and commitment to preserving the print industry".
Family entrepreneur Anja Jenner, member of the Phoenix Award jury, expressed her respect for Fröhlich Info AG's courage and commitment "in an industry that has been pushed back by digitalization". Samuel Mösle, Co-Head of Location Promotion for the Canton of Zurich, paid tribute to the "incredible achievement of keeping a company going for 100 years and successfully mastering challenges ranging from succession planning to permanent change in the market and the world of work". ce/hs
