Schlieren ZH – HeiQ presents a new synbiotic detergent. It is enriched with biosurfactants and is designed to provide deep and long-lasting cleaning performance with a minimal ecological footprint.
(CONNECT) The Schlieren-based company HeiQ , which specializes in textile technologies and synbiotics, has developed a new detergent. According to a press release, it is enriched with next-generation biosurfactants. According to HeiQ, the new formula reduces dirt build-up in the washing machine by up to 90 percent and prevents odors without the need for high heat or excess water. The detergent is highly concentrated, palm oil-free, biodegradable and helps to break down allergens in textiles.
By combining HeiQ's previously used synbiotics with biosurfactants obtained through fermentation, the new detergent penetrates the textile fibers to remove dirt, oils and stains while breaking down odor molecules for long-lasting freshness, according to the process. Active probiotics continue to cleanse for up to five days after washing. Biosurfactants, which are produced through sustainable fermentation, enable a good cleaning effect even at low temperatures and save energy.
"By switching from plant-based to microbial surfactants, we are helping to reduce the pressure on plant-based resources and promote a more sustainable approach to non-food applications," Robin Temmerman, CEO of HeiQ Chrisal, is quoted as saying.
HeiQ Chrisal offers the product both in branded packaging and without private label or concentrate. There will be a webinar on the new development on May 13 from 10 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. Probiotics + biosurfactants. The latest detergent innovation.
HeiQ is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), is based in the IJZ Innovation and Young Entrepreneur Center and is a member of Start Smart Schlieren. ce/gba
