KA-EX raises 7 million dollars

(CONNECT) The Zurich-based scale-up ph. AG can continue to grow with its sports recovery drink KA-EX with the help of two major investors. As startupticker.de reports in an article distributed by ph., the London-based media capital investor mediaforgrowth invested 3 million dollars in June. This share of the investment is to flow into a multimedia marketing campaign in the USA from this summer.

The additional fresh capital of 4 million dollars comes from an undisclosed strategic investor from the beverage industry. ph. intends to use this to finance further marketing measures and increase production.

In addition, ski racer Lara Gut-Behrami has announced that she has been working as a strategic advisor to KA-EX since April. At a media conference in Zurich on July 10, 2025, ph. also announced that the double overall World Cup winner, world champion and Olympic champion, who competes for Switzerland, has invested in KA-EX and is now officially a brand ambassador.

KA-EX was developed by Pedro Pablo Schmidt, a pharmacist with a degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and founder of ph. AG. The food supplement consists of 25 vegan biomolecules. It was initially developed as an anti-hangover drink that optimizes a number of bioprocesses, in particular cortisol reduction, sleep and regeneration. It was later discovered by professional athletes as a dietary supplement for regeneration after competitive sport.
