Modulos Receives 8.7 Million Swiss Francs To Scale Its AI Platform

(CONNECT) The Zurich-based technology company Modulos AG has raised 8.7 million Swiss francs in a pre-Series A financing round. The company intends to use the funding to drive forward the scaling of its AI governance platform, according to a press release.

The Modulos AI governance platform supports companies in complying with adopted standards such as the EU AI ACT, which comes into force in August 2026, ISO 42001 or the NIST AI RMF. Modulos can be integrated into MLOps, LLMOps and audit infrastructure and uses AI agents for monitoring and compliance with the aforementioned standards.

"Organizations can no longer dismiss compliance as an afterthought. Our platform therefore gives them the infrastructure to scale responsible AI at the same speed of innovation," said Kevin Schawinski, co-founder and CEO of Modulos, in the press release. Modulos is also the first AI governance platform that is product-compliant in accordance with ISO 42001. The company is active in important regulatory bodies such as the EU AI Office, the CEN/CENELEC European Standards Body and the AI Safety Institute of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the USA.

The current funding was mainly provided by existing investors who have supported Modulos since the start of work on the EU AI Act. With its product and the growth of the AI compliance market, the company is poised for further growth: "This is just the beginning," says Schawinski.
