Zurich – ndd Medical Technologies has launched the EasyOne Sky product for spirometry in the lung disease COPD. With this product, Medtech aims to increase the use of the diagnostic procedure.
ndd Medical Technologies, based in Technopark Zurich, has launched the EasyOne Sky spirometry solution, according to a press release. It is a lung function test that could help 380 million people affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) worldwide to receive timely and effective treatment. "Despite its widespread prevalence, COPD is still diagnosed too rarely, mainly due to the lack of use of spirometry, which is an important tool for an accurate diagnosis," it says.
"Thanks to this innovation, spirometry is easier than ever for healthcare professionals, and the interaction with the coach makes the examination fun for patients," Michael Bencak, Chief Executive Officer of ndd Medical Technologies, is quoted as saying.
The company is active in the development of medical technology for the early detection and accurate diagnosis of COPD and other chronic lung diseases with the aim of helping to improve patients' quality of life. Michael Bencak emphasizes the potential of EasyOne Sky: "This product will make a decisive contribution to achieving this goal."
The company describes the design and functionality of EasyOne Sky as an innovative spirometry solution with an integrated coach called Buddy, which supports patients during pulmonary function testing. ce/heg
