Ph. AG Takes Over ViCAP Global AG

(CONNECT) Zurich-based ph. AG, which distributes its KA-EX beverage line internationally, acquires 100 percent of ViCAP Global AG. Roger Wilfinger, founder of ViCAP, will continue to contribute his technical and entrepreneurial expertise in his new position as a member of the Board of Directors of ph. ph. AG is strengthening its market position in the functional beverage sector by integrating ViCAP's patented dispenser technology. The patented Dispenser Sports Cap from ViCAP is a closure system that only releases ingredients such as vitamins and caffeine at the moment of consumption. This avoids chemical stability restrictions and enables the use of other functional ingredients such as glutathione, NMN and live probiotics.

"This is not an exit, but a strategic expansion. ViCAP supplies technology, ph. AG the market access. It's a perfect fit," ViCAP founder and new ph. AG board member Wilfinger is quoted in the press release. Pedro Schmidt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ph. The transaction was carried out through a capital increase by means of a contribution in kind, in which the previous owners of ViCAP Global AG received 62,932 shares in ph. AG for all shares in ViCAP Global AG.
