Planted wins SevenVentures as an investor

Planted Foods has gained SevenVentures as a new investor. The investment arm of ProSiebenSat.1 is joining Planted with a media-for-equity investment in the mid-single-digit million euro range, ProSiebenSat.1 announced in a press release. "We want to use the reach of our digital and station portfolio to gain the trust of many more consumers and convince them of the company's quality and responsible production methods," SevenVentures CEO Florian Hirschberger is quoted as saying. Planted Foods from Kemptthal specializes in the development of plant-based alternatives to meat.

SevenVentures will act as Planted's media partner. From spring 2025 until the end of 2027, Planted's commercials will be shown on ProSiebenSat.1's channels and on its streaming service Joyn. "With television advertising, Planted will further establish itself in the mass market as the trustworthy, sustainable, healthy and, above all, delicious brand for plant-based meat," explains Christoph Jenny, co-founder and member of the Planted management board, in the press release. "We are looking forward to winning over more enthusiastic Planted customers through our partnership with SevenVentures with our first TV campaign." ce/hs
