Tenity and GFTN want to promote the future of fintech worldwide

(CONNECT) Tenity and the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN) have agreed to cooperate. In their declaration of intent, they formulated the common goal of supporting the sovereignty of the European fintech industry, promoting global expansion opportunities for start-ups and deepening public-private cooperation in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

According to a press release from Tenity, this strategic partnership lays the foundation for a more intensive exchange between fintech ecosystems. It combines "Tenity's expertise in accelerating start-ups and building ecosystems with GFTN's mission to serve as a trusted platform to align innovation and regulation, accelerate financial inclusion and drive the development of inclusive, digital and sustainable financial systems".

GFTN was founded by theMonetary Authority of Singapore. The non-profit network is reportedly the driving force behind global platforms such as the Singapore FinTech Festival, the Swiss Point Zero Forum, GFTN Tokyo and the Inclusive Fintech Forum in Rwanda's capital Kigali. "This partnership reflects our belief that Europe plays a crucial role in shaping the global fintech landscape," GFTN Group CEO Sopnendu Mohanty is quoted as saying.

Tenity has six centers for financial innovation, claims to be active in 15 countries, works with 65 corporate partners and has supported over 1600 start-ups with its programs. Tenity's CEO Andreas Iten says: "Fintech does not grow in silos. It thrives through partnerships, political coordination and shared infrastructure. This Memorandum of Understanding is about building these bridges - between founders and regulators, Europe and Asia, ambition and action." ce/mm
