The Zurich-based fintech company Wyden has secured fresh capital of 16.9 million dollars in a Series B financing round. According to a press release, the round was led by Paris-based Truffle Capital. The investors PostFinance, SBI-Sygnum-Azimut Digital Asset Opportunity Fund and FiveT Fintech as well as the existing investor C3 Venture Capital were also involved.
Wyden intends to use the fresh capital for strategic growth. In particular, the range of digital assets is to be expanded internationally. In addition to Switzerland and the European Union, the company names Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Singapore and Brazil as markets. In order to realize the new tasks, the company wants to expand its team to 100 specialists. In the coming year, they will support up to 20 banks, brokers and stock exchanges as well as Wyden's development sites in Poland. Wyden's goal is to become a leading technology partner, not least with the introduction of the cloud-based Wyden Infinity platform, which supports full automation of the trading lifecycle of digital assets.
"We are delighted to consolidate our position as the world's leading provider of infrastructure for institutional trading in digital assets with this financing round B," said Andy Flury, founder and CEO of Wyden, in the press release. "Together with our flagship product Wyden Infinity, we are well equipped to meet the increasing demand for secure and efficient trading infrastructure for regulated financial services institutions." ce/ww
