Zurich — The Zurich-based startup nextesy AG has surpassed the 2,000-customer mark. The company, which operates in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), attributes its success to specific features of its business administration platform designed for freelancers, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
(CONNECT) The Zurich-based startup nextesy has surpassed the 2,000-active-customer mark shortly after its official market launch in late April 2026, according to a press release. The startup, with roots in the ecosystems of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) and the University of St. Gallen (HSG), develops artificial intelligence-based software solutions that automate administrative business processes for SMEs, startups, freelancers, and fiduciaries.
The company attributes its rapid success in particular to the innovative nature of various features that were not previously available in this form on the Swiss market. According to customer feedback, the high AI booking accuracy of 98 percent, for example, is particularly popular. Automating accounting—which involves steps ranging from classifying and renaming documents to extracting all relevant information—significantly reduces the amount of manual post-processing required.
With nextesy, customers can also submit receipts directly via WhatsApp for automated processing thanks to WhatsApp integration, without having to access an external portal. Finally, thanks to the global full-text search, all content on the nextesys platform is fully searchable, which is not the case with Swiss competitor products, according to the press release. "We're pleased that demand is so high, especially because it can be attributed in part to specific features that we've consistently developed with an AI-first approach," says Dr. Milan Kuzmanovic, Chief AI Officer at nextesy.
Going forward, the company plans to scale its infrastructure in order to expand its customer base while maintaining the same high level of quality. ce/ja
